This Week from the Los Altos Police Log: Dec. 26-29

Police were busy this week responding to reports of splattered eggs, traffic accidents, leaf blower violations, identify theft, and more.

The following is provided by the Los Altos Police Department. Mapped incidents reflect block number only to protect the privacy of residents. Where arrests are mentioned, they do not indicate convictions.

Felony warrant

On Monday a subject with an outstanding felony warrant was taken into police custody in the 1400 block of Wessex Avenue. Subject was booked into jail. 3:05 p.m.

Traffic collision

Police responded to a traffic collision with minor injuries on Monday at Fremont Avenue and A Street. Report taken. 4:20 p.m.

Driving without a license

On Tuesday a motorist driving without a license was cited and released by police. Campbell Avenue and Cuesta Drive. 10:03 a.m.

Suspended license

On Tuesday a motorist driving with a suspended license was cited by police to appear in court, and then was released. N. San Antonio Road and Sylvian Way. 12:11 p.m.

Traffic accident

On Tuesday police responded to a traffic collision with property damage on Cuesta Drive and Miramonte Avenue. Officer assisted parties with exchange of names.12:41 p.m.

Suspicious persons

On Tuesday police made contact with numerous suspicious persons for information only. No crime reported. 4500 Block of El Camino Real. 3:28 p.m.

Suspicious circumstances

On Tuesday police responded to a suspicious circumstances call. Officers contacted subjects for information. No report taken. 4900 Block of El Camino Real. 9:44 p.m.

Suspicious circumstances

On Wednesday police responded to a suspicious circumstances call at Ravenswood Drive and Fallen Leaf Lane. Officers contacted subjects who were identified as solicitors. No report taken. 11:58 a.m.

Gas leaf blower

On Wednesday police responded to a complaint about a gas leaf blower violation in the 1200 Block of Payne Drive. Officers reprimanded and released the subject. 1:20 p.m.

Residential alarm

On Wednesday police responded to a residential alarm going off in the 1000 Block of Eastwood Court. Officer determined the alarm malfunctioned. 3:29 p.m.

Identity theft

On Wednesday police responded to an identity theft complaint in the 1100 Block of Orilla Court. Report taken. 7:59 p.m.

Water leak

On Wednesday police responded to a call about a water leak in the 4700 Block of El Camino Real. Officers found sprinklers on a timer. Information only. 11:15 p.m.  

Malicious mischief

On Thursday police responded to a report that a vehicle was splattered with eggs on the 900 Block of Manor Way. No report taken. 9:31 a.m.

Malicious mischief

On Thursday police responded to a report that a house was hit with eggs on the 200 block of Clark Avenue. No report taken. 12:16 p.m.

Suspicious person

On Thursday police responded to a report of a suspicious person at Teresi Lane and Rosita Avenue. The person was gone by the time officers arrived. 12:19 p.m.

Injury accident

On Thursday police responded to a report of a traffic accident with a minor injury at Los Altos Avenue and Pine Lane. Report was taken. 1:31 p.m.

Bicycle accident

On Thursday police responded to a report about a solo bicyclist accident caused by bicycle mechanical failure at Almond Avenue and Sunkist Lane. No report taken. 4:59 p.m.
