“All of a sudden, we’re seeing a spike. … We had burglars break into Portable On-Demand Storage units and storage sheds for construction tools,” said Capt. Carl Neusal of the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office, told the Crier.

“They’ll go down to some of the flea markets, Craigslist here and there (to sell the stolen tools). … Who knows where that stuff goes? It’s very difficult to trace.”

Officers have arrested two burglary suspects this year, Neusal said. One suspect was responsible for at least two other burglaries.
