Police Calls: Those Pesky Solicitors, Burglaries and Suspicious Characters

The big fat Los Altos Police log from June 14 to 17 have a lot of incidents, but only two residential burglaries. Citizens were quick to report suspicious activity or circumstances. 

It also looked like solicitors were active over the weekend. Solicitors must be licensed, so police were in reprimand-and-release mode. One person was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant. And boy are people noisy, prompting neighbors to call the police, to get relief.

Disturbance /Noise

·      June 14, 9:57 a.m., 00 block of Chester Cir.; disturbance, officer assisted

·      June 15, 1:00 am., Morton Avenue and Juarez Avenue; party complaint, unfounded

·      12:15 p.m., 1900 block of Deodara Drive; juvenile disturbance, reporting party did not want officer response, just taken as information only

·      6:07 p.m., Covington Road, noise disturbance, reprimanded and released

·      June 17, 8:07 p.m., 600 block of Los Ninos Way, construction noise complaint, quiet on arrival

·      7:10 p.m., 1896 Middleton Avenue; solicitor was advised and left

·      June 15, 10:35 a.m., 800 block of Santa Rita Avenue; solicitor complaint, officer responded, and made contact, reprimanded and released
