The Los Altos Police log of Sept. 10 was quiet and includes five calls for suspicious goings-on. Only one tow from Foothill Crossing, too.

Suspicious Vehicle /Circumstances

  • 7:58 a.m., 1400 block of Morton Avenue, report of suspicious vehicle; police responded and it was gone on arrival.
  • 1:19 p.m., 200 block of Verano Drive; suspicious vehicle, officer tagged the vehicle for tow
  • 4:03 p.m., S. Clark Avenue and Hawthorne Avenue; suspicious circumstances, officer responded, no report
  • 8:14 p.m., 300 block of University Avenue; suspicious circumstances, officer responded and checked area. Information
  • 11:51 p.m., 911, 400 block of University Avenue; suspicious circumstances, officers checked area and were unable to locate

Animal call

  • 9:03 a.m., Alma Court and San Antonio Road; report of loose dog. Officer responded and was unable to locate
  • 1:03 p.m., 900 block of Highlands Circle; petty theft from vehicle, report taken

Burglary

  • 1500 block of Wistaria Drive; residential burglary, report taken

Solicitor

  • 7:44 p.m., 00 block of Coronado Avenue; solicitor in area

Water Call

  • 7:52 p.m., 500 block of Los Altos Avenue; leaking fire hydrant, reported to Cal Water
