Suspicious person

- 8:08 a.m., Foothill Expressway and El Monte Avenue; caller reported a suspicious person in the area. Responding officers spoke to the subject and determined there was no crime. Information only.
Battery
- 11:39 a.m., 4000 block of El Camino Real; police responded to a cold report of an assault and battery. The reporting party declined to press charges and declined a police report.
Leash law

- 5:00 p.m., 1500 block of Holt Avenue; police responded to a report of a subject violating a leash law. Arriving officer met and admonished the subject.
Stray horses
- 4:52 p.m., La Paloma and Purissima roads; caller reported stray horses in the Los Altos Hills. The call was transferred to Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office.
Jan. 1
Identity theft
- 4:33 p.m., the 70 block of Coronado Avenue; caller reported an identity theft. Report taken.
Burglary
- 6:22p.m., 5000 block of El Camino Real; residential burglary to a storage shed. Report taken.
