Police Calls: Reckless Drivers; Broken Street Sign

Selected highlights from the Los Altos Police logs of Dec. 21 and 22 include a report of a stranded motorist, and two vehicle accidents.

 

Dec. 21

Stranded Motorist

  • 9:59 a.m., Magdalena Avenue and Foothill Expressway; vehicle breakdown, officer responded and assisted.

Vehicle Accident

  • 12:09 p.m., Miramonte Avenue and A Street; police responded to a non-injury vehicle accident and assisted the parties with name exchanges.  
  • 1:31 p.m., Plaza Central and Third Street; police responded to a non-injury vehicle accident and assisted the parties with name exchanges.

Reckless Driver

  • 5:27 p.m., South El Monte and Hawthorne avenues; police responded to a report of a reckless driver, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Found Property

  • 9:06 p.m., Almond Avenue and Gordon Way; police responded to a report of a broken street sign found, and referred the matter to the Public Works Department.

Dec. 22

Driving Under the Influence

  • 1:06 a.m., Ortega Avenue and San Antonio Road; driver arrested and report taken.

Reckless Driver

  • 9:50 a.m., El Camino Real and San Antonio Road; police received a report of a reckless driver and referred it to the Mountain View Police Department.

Accident

  • 2:49 p.m., 800 block of Altos Oaks Drive; police responded to a report of a hit-and-run accident with no injuries. No report taken.
