Police Calls: DUI Arrest; Suspicious Package

Warrant service

- 9:01 a.m., West Portola and Los Altos avenues; subject was cited and released on an outside warrant.
Abandoned vehicles
- 9:38 a.m., 1200 block of Covington Road; police responded to a report of an abandoned vehicle. Arriving officer tagged the vehicle.
- 2:02 p.m., 400 block of Lassen St.; police responded to a report of an abandoned vehicle. The vehicle was tagged.

- 11:44 a.m., El Camino Real and Showers Drive; loose shopping carts were reported to be blocking the roadway. Police removed them.
Petty theft
- 3:21 p.m., 1500 block of Oak Avenue; police responded to a cold report of a bicycle stolen last week at Oak School. Report taken.
Dec. 29
Reckless driver
- 2:26 p.m., Hillview and Gordon avenues; reckless driver reported. Not in progress when police arrived; subject was given a warning.
Suspicious package
- 4:33 p.m., 4000 block of El Camino Real; caller reported finding a suspicious package. Arriving officers determined it was an empty suitcase.
Stolen vehicle
- 11:46 p.m., Loucks Avenue and San Antonio Road; police recovered a stolen vehicle and arrested the driver. Report taken.
Dec. 30
Noisy animal
- 6:56 p.m., 1500 block of Grant Road; barking dog complaint. Arriving officer was unable to determine where the dog was. No report taken.
DUI arrest
- 9:18 p.m., North Springer Road and Raymundo Avenue; police arrested a motorist suspected of driving under the influence.
Dec. 31
Residential alarm
- 3:26 a.m., 1000 block of Robinhood Court; police responded to a residential burglary alarm. Arriving officers determined it was an alarm malfunction.
