Police Calls: A DUI, Disputes Over Parking

The Los Altos Police log for Nov. 7 showed citations for a DUI and driving on a suspended license, a few fender-benders, a parking complaints around town, including a few disputes that prompted 911 .


Police Calls for Nov. 7 and early Nov. 8: 

Traffic Collision

  • 8:05 a.m., Foothill Expressway and I-280; traffic accident, no injuries, names exchanged
  • 2:28 p.m., 2175 Grant Road; hit and run, officer responded and assisted with names exchange, no report taken

Meet the Citizen

  • 9:33 a.m., Loucks Avenue and Los Altos Avenue; citizen flagdown            

Gas Leaf Blower

  • 12:16 p.m., 200 block of San Antonio Road; officer responded and subject was gone on arrival

Parking Violation

  • 12:38 p.m., 12 S. San Antonio Road (Los Altos Library); parking violation, officer responded
  • 3:04 p.m., 700 block of Berry Avenue; parking complaint, vehicle gone on arrival

Driving on a Suspended License

  • 12:47 p.m., Miramonte Avenue and El Camino Real; traffic stop, suspended driver, subject was cited


  • 1:35 p.m., 911, 1200 block of Altamead Drive; disturbance regarding a parking issue, officer responded, subjects were gone on arrival
  • 5:22 p.m., 342 First Street, Draegers; disturbance, officers responded and assisted
  • 2:07 a.m., 11/8, 911; 400 block of Benvenue Avenue; disturbance, information

Suspicious Vehicle

  • 2:12 p.m. Fremont Avenue and Lisa Lane, suspicious occupied vehicle, officer responded and contacted subject, unfounded

Information Only

  • 5:27 p.m., Tyndall Street and Cuesta Drive; Caller reporting that someone leaving notes on her vehicle,information only, no contact needed

Outside Agency Assist

  • 8:53 p.m., 1100 block of Altamead Drive; outside agency assistance rendered

Driving Under the Influence

  • 3:36 a.m., 11/8, El Camino Real and Jordan Avenue; driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol; citation arrest
