Police Calls: One Burglary, Solicitor Gets Admonished

The Los Altos Police log for Tuesday show that a solicitor is still active in the area, and residents are quick to call police about it.

Burglary

  • 8:26 a.m., 600 block of Milverton Road; residential burglary, cold, report taken            

Traffic Collision

  • 8:50 a.m., 911, Foothill Expressway and Edith Avenue; non-injury accident, no report requested

  • 9:03 a.m., 200 block of Edith Avenue; gas leaf blower complaint, officer responded, contact made, FI card completed            

Disturbance

  • 10:13 a.m., N. San Antonio Road and Almond Avenue; report of a disturbance, officer responded and made contact, information only

Malicious Mischief

  • 10:54 a.m., 1400 block of Oak Avenue; vandalism to a vehicle, information only, no police response requested, no report

Suspicious Vehicle / Circumstances

  • 11:29 a.m., 00 block of Sevilla Avenue; suspicious vehicle, checked area, information only
  • 4:10 p.m., 200 block of Marich Way; suspicious occupied vehicle that just left the area, officer responded, tried to locate and vehicle was gone on arrival
  • 6:26 p.m., 1600 block of Ben Roe Drive; suspicious circumstance, late reported, information passed onto patrol team

Abandoned Vehicle

  • 11:48 a.m., 700 block of Orange Avenue; abandoned vehicle, officer responded and tagged

Solicitor

  • 7:53 p.m., 911, 00 block of Higgins Avenue; solicitor without a permit, officer responded and contacted subject, admonished and released
  • 7:52 p.m., 500 block of Distel Drive; possible solicitor in the area, information
