Police Calls: Gas Leaf Blowers & Suspicious Stuff

The police log for Aug. 30 showed the gas-powered leaf blower users were usually one step ahead of the officers. And, boy, do they keep trying on Crist Drive. 

Gas Leaf Blower

• 8:08 a.m., 2200 block of Grant Road; gas-power leaf blower complaint, officer responded and was unable to locate
• 8:12 a.m., 300 block of Second Street; gas-power leaf blower complaint, officer responded and was unable to locate
• 10:02 a.m., 1400 block of Fremont Avenue; gas-power leaf blower complaint, officer responded and was unable to locate
• 1:00 p.m., 1200 block of Via Huerta; officer responded and owner was advised of the municipal code
• 1:31 p.m., 2000 block of Crist Drive; report of gas leaf blower, officer responded and was subject was gone on arrival

Noisy Animal

9:11 a.m., 1000 block of Fremont Avenue; report of barking dog, officer responded and left card

Disturbance

9:26 a.m., 800 Santa Rita Avenue; disturbance, officers assisted

• 11:41 a.m., 200 block of S. San Antonio Road; report of suspicious package, officer made contact
• 5:50 p.m., 400 block of Orange Avenue; suspicious vehicle, officer contacted driver, cleared, no report
• 9:37 p.m., 500 block of Pinecrest Drive; suspicious circumstances, officers cleared, unfounded
• 9:42 p.m., Galli Drive and Cielito Drive; suspicious circumstances, cleared, unfounded
• 11:58 p.m., 397 Main Street; suspicious subjects, officer contacted subjects, cleared, reprimanded and released

• 2:22 p.m., 201 Almond Avenue (Los Altos High School); hit and run, no injuries, report taken
• 9:15 p.m., 600 block of Spargur Court; hit and run, no injuries, officer took report

Misdemeanor Warrant

3:50 p.m., El Camino Real and Jordan Avenue; warrant arrest
