Police Calls: Early Morning Doorbell Ditch

The following information was culled from recent incidents included in the Los Altos Police bulletin.

Aug. 2

Accident, Major Injury

2:45 p.m., 24700 Block of Summerhill Ave. Car accident with a major injury. Officers responded and took a report.

9:09 p.m., El Camino Real and Showers Drive. Car accident with a major injury. Officers responded and took a report.

Suspicious Person

9:43 a.m., North El Monte Ave. Report of a suspicious person in the area. Subject was gone when officers arrived.

Tree Down

10:37 a.m., Fremont Avenue and Parma Way. Report of a tree branch down on the roadway. Responding officer moved it to the side of the road.

General Tow

2:36 p.m., 200 Block of State Street. Vehicle towed from the Farmer’s Market. Police report taken.

2:43 p.m., 100 Block of Third Street. Vehicle towed from the Farmer’s Market. Police report taken.

Gas Leaf Blower Violation

5:30 p.m., 1200 Payne Dr. Complaint of a person using a gas leaf blower. Police responded and advised the person to stop.

Aug. 3

Noise Complaint

12:09 a.m., 400 Block of Cuesta Drive. Residential noise complaint. Responding officer reprimanded, and then released the subject. The area was quiet when the officer left.

Suspicious Circumstances

2:17 a.m., 400 Block of Pine Lane. Report of doorbell (ring and) ditch. Responding officer checked the area, but did not find anyone.
