Police Calls: Burglary and Ammo Destruction

The Los Altos Police log for March 25 shows a Monday with a burglary, a stranded motorist assisted and a lost-looking person on Distel Drive.

 

March 25 was a mixed bag of annoyances like gas leaf blowers and construction noise, happy endings with found property being returned to its owner, and vandalism at Carl's Jr. in the wee hours of the morning.

  • 6:21 a.m., 700 block of Arroyo Road; report of fraud, information only

Gas Leaf Blower

  • 10:17 a.m., 2000 block of Crist Drive; gas leaf blower complaint; officer responded and subject was gone on arrival

Found Property

  • 12:30 p.m., walk-in,  Cristo Rey Drive and Esplendor; found property, property returned to owner

Burglary

  • 12:38 p.m., 600 block of Casita Drive; residential burglary, report taken

Gun Destruction

  • 1:09 p.m., 1900 block of Scott Lane; ammunition brought in for destruction, report taken

Suspicious Person / Vehicle

  • 2:00 p.m., 911, 200 block of Third Street; suspicious person in area, police responded and contacted subject
  • 3:43 p.m., Somerset Court and Deodara Drive; suspicious vehicle, officers responded and determined to be unfounded

Check on Welfare

  • 2:23 p.m., Distel Drive and Marich Way; check on welfare of subject who appears lost, officers responded and subject was assisted

Stranded Motorist

  • 4:15 p.m., Foothill Expressway and Magdalena Avenue; stranded motorist, officer responded and assisted

Meet the Citizen

  • 5:26 p.m., walk-in, 100 block of Alvarado Avenue; officer contact requested, officer responded and assisted

Construction Noise

  • 6:04 p.m., 1900 block of Churton Avenue; construction complaint, officers responded and subjects were gone on arrival

Malicious Mischief

  • 4:22 a.m., Mar. 26, 5000 El Camino Real, Carl’s Jr. / Green Burrito, vandalism, just occurred, subject cited to appear and released
