Police Calls: Bike Stolen From Garage

Notable and not-so-notable incidents culled from the Los Altos Police log for July 30. Monday was a day without towing from Foothill Crossing shopping center.

 

Dogwalkers, try to restrain yourselves from unleashing your pets at Grant Park. Police are called at least a few times a week, including Monday, to enforce the municipal code for keeping dogs on leash.

Suspicious Vehicle / Persons / Circumstances

  • 6:46 a.m., Thatcher Drive and Odell Way, suspicious occupied vehicle, officer checked the area and was unable to locate
  • 5:19 p.m., Alvarado Avenue and Panchita Drive, suspicious circumstances, officers cleared, unable to locate, gone on arrival

Burglary

  • 7:47 a.m., 1800 block of Newcastle Drive, residential burglary, theft of a bicycle from an unlocked garage – report taken

Dead Animal

  • 8:05 a.m., 300 block of El Monte Avenue, dead animal removed after reporting party placed a call for service

Municipal Code Violation

  • 8:18 a.m., 1575 Holt Avenue (Grant Park), off-leash dog, gone on officer’s arrival

Collision

  • 9:51 a.m., El Camino Real and Monroe Drive, traffic collision, no injuries, officers assisted involved parties with names exchange

General Tow

9:58 a.m., 1 N. San Antonio Road, flat tire repair
