Why are all of the cars being towed at Foothill Crossing? Should I be concerned about shopping there?
Karen Grady July 03, 2012 at 03:16 PM
I agree....what are we missing here? I shop at Foothill Crossing....should I be concerned if I stay too long?

@KarenGrady, @Mike: Late last week, @Judd asked the same thing late last week, and I've put in a call to the management of the Harrington Properties, the owner of Foothill Crossing.

I remember they were doing some sort of construction or something in the Peets lot last week. A lot of spaces were blocked off, which may have led to people parking illegally wherever they could find open space.

All: I'll have a story in tomorrow's Patch about this situation. The posted time limit is 90 minutes in shopping center, which also includes Homestead Crossing (Peet's, Kayla's 2BFit, and others). Apparently parking had become a huge issue here, with people parking and leaving their cars to the point that shoppers couldn't find space. The parking crackdown is the result. The property manager says you can re-park the car to another space after 90 minutes because that would presumably demonstrate you are not off hiking at Rancho San Antonio or on a long bike ride up to Ridge Vineyards. ;-)
