UPDATE: Motorcyclist Killed on Highway 85 Worked at CSA

The Sunnyvale resident died of major blunt force trauma.

Updated at 9:45 a.m. with Community Services Agency information.

A 41-year-old Sunnyvale man has been identified as the fatal victim of a collision during rush hour on Highway 85 on Monday.

Mitsutoshi Nakahara rode his 2004 Triumph motorcycle southbound near the Central Expressway exit when it collided with a 2011 Mini Cooper. Nakahara died of major blunt force trauma, the Santa Clara County medical examiner confirmed Wednesday.

Nicknamed "Michi," Nakahara had close ties to Mountain View, as he worked with the homeless clients at the Community Services Agency, according to Executive Director Tom Myers. Myers shared the information with his staff on Wednesday.

"The CSA staff who were here and received the news are quite distraught," he wrote in a note to CSA board members.

A reiki master, Nakahara also ran his own business, Michi's Holistic Healing Services.
