An injury accident involving a bicyclist, one person arrested for driving under the influence and another person arrested for being drunk in public, an attempted burglary, and two non-injury accidents top the latest Los Altos police report.
An injury accident involving a bicyclist, one person arrested for driving under the influence and another person arrested for being drunk in public, an attempted burglary, and two non-injury accidents top the list of incidents reported by the Los Altos Police Department for the weekend.
The accident involving the bicyclist occurred Sunday at 1:16 p.m. at the intersection of Foothill Expressway and Old Oak Court.
The bicyclist, a 40-year-old Los Gatos woman, was traveling east on Foothill Expressway when she was hit from behind by a motor vehicle, according to Los Altos Police Capt. Andy Galea.

She suffered several abrasions and may have broken bones, although none of the injuries appear life-threatening, Galea said. She was taken to Stanford Hospital for treatment. The driver of the motor vehicle, a 74-year-old Los Altos man, was not injured, he added.
The collision is still under investigation, Galea said.

The driving under the influence arrest was made Saturday at 7:02 p.m. on North San Antonio Road. The driver's car was towed. Police arrested another person for being drunk in public about 3:50 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Foothill Expressway and San Antonio Road.
Two non-injury accidents were also reported, along with an attempted burglary. One non-injury accident occurred Friday afternoon on Almond Avenue near Los Altos High School. Another non-injury accident occurred at 11:10 p.m. Friday on El Camino Real.
The attempted burglary was reported Saturday at 10:16 a.m. at San Juan Court. Police took a report, but released no other details.
