Deputies requested assistance from the Sheriff's Office Helicopter (Star 1) and Santa Clara Police K-9 Unit to help search the large property.

Santa Clara Police K9 located a male subject hiding in the bushes around the property.

The subject, later identified as 56-year old Glenn Cartwright from Belmont, refused to comply with orders to come out from his hiding spot and was bitten by the police dog.

Deputies located copper piping and copper wiring that had been removed from inside the building and a bag of tools hidden near the exit gate.

Cartwright was transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries. Once he was medically cleared, Cartwright was booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail on charges of burglary and possession of burglary tools.
