Tonight is First Friday, Fall Festival and Other Weekend Things to Do

LOS ALTOS YOUTH CENTER DANCE

Middle School-age teens can put their best foot forward at this monthly dance set for 7:30 to 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4 at LAYC Building, 1 N. San Antonio Road. Sponsored by the Los Altos Recreation Department, cost is $15. For details, call 650-947-2727.

LOS ALTOS FALL FESTIVAL

Fall into fun with a day of live entertainment, a classic car show, children’s activities, food booths and more. MILLBRAE FARMERS MARKET

BELMONT FARMERS MARKET

THE FRESH MARKET

Get exercise and fresh air while shopping outdoors for locally-grown veggies, fruits, flowers and more from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6 at The Fresh Market along Burlingame Avenue at Park Road, Burlingame. Admission is free.

SAN BRUNO FARMERS MARKET

Fresh seasonal vegetables, eggs, and other foods can be found at the San Bruno Farmers Market, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6 on San Mateo Avenue between Jenevein and Sylvan avenues. Admission is free. For details call 650-588-0180 or visit the San Bruno Chamber of Commerce website.

HALLOWEEN SPOOKTACULAR

Mark your calendars and get the kids ready to dress in their Halloween costumes for a day of trick or treating at downtown Los Altos merchants from noon to 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31. Merchants along State and Main streets displaying an orange pumpkin will be participating in the event which also will include a children’s fun and games station at State and Second streets. Free.
