Los Altos Police Blotter For April 23 through April 28: Six minor or non-injury traffic accidents top the list of incidents

Six minor or non-injury traffic accidents and three motorists cited for driving on a suspended license top the list of incidents for what was a relatively quiet period for Los Altos police.

There were six minor or non-injury traffic accidents, and three citations for driving on a suspended license during the past week, a relatively quiet period for Los Altos police.

Two non-injury accidents occurred Thursday, one at 7:47 p.m. at the intersection of South Springer Road and Foothill Expressway, and another shortly after noon at South El Monte Avenue and Cuesta Drive.

Four other minor or non-injury accidents occurred earlier in the week.

A minor injury accident occurred last Friday at 11:40 a.m. at the intersection of South San Antonio Road and Lyell Street. A non-injury accident occurred Sunday on Los Altos Avenue at 4:05 p.m. A non-injury accident occurred Wednesday at 2:27 p.m. on Covington Road. Another non-injury accident was reported Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. on Hawthorne Ave.

An auto burglary occurred Sunday near Los Altos Methodist Church at 7:56 p.m. There was no information available on what was taken or how the suspect or suspects gained entry.

Three motorists were issued misdemeanor citations for driving on a suspended license.

One motorist was issued a misdemeanor citation early Thursday morning after a traffic stop at the intersection of West El Camino Real and Clark Avenue when the individual was found to be driving on a suspended license. A similar incident with similar results occurred on San Antonio Road and Fayette Drive Tuesday, at 11:11 p.m., and again on Thursday at 8:48 a.m. on Altos Oaks Drive.

A loose dog was found on Covington Road Wednesday at 4:09 p.m. Animal control assisted in transporting the dog to Adobe Animal Hospital to await pickup by the owner. A lost dog was found on Almond Avenue and Doud Drive Sunday at 1:44 p.m. and turned over to Animal Services.

An incident of petty theft was reported Wednesday at 12:38 p.m. on University Ave. when construction tools were taken. Another case of petty theft occurred on Main St. Tuesday at 5:30 p.m., when an individual reported a wallet was stolen.

There were two reports of gas leaf blower violations on Tuesday, within about an hour of each other; one on Marvin Ave. at 11:32 a.m. and another on St. Joseph Ave. at 12:37 p.m.

A noise complaint was made Saturday at 3:35 p.m. on Oakhurst Avenue. Those involved were reprimanded and released.
