Los Altos Police Blotter for April 15 through April 22: Six Arrests Top the List of Incidents

Six arrests for various violations and five minor injury or non-injury accidents top the list of incidents reported by Los Altos Police in the period from April 15 through the early morning of April 22.

At least six people were arrested for different violations including three for driving under the influence; one for public intoxication; one for making threatening statements and another on an old warrant, in the Los Altos Police Department report for the seven-day period from April 15 through early morning April 22.

Additionally, five minor injury or non-injury traffic accidents were reported.  A case of grand theft also made the police blotter.

The stalking arrest occurred Sunday after an identified victim reported receiving threats from someone with whom there had been a previous relationship.  Dion Starr, 22, of Redwood City was arrested for making threatening statements, according to Sgt. John Korges.

A motorist was arrested for driving under the influence after a traffic stop at North San Antonio Road and Almond Avenue April 15 at 10:32 p.m.  A second DUI arrest was made in the early morning hours of April 16 at the intersection of Grant Road and Portland Avenue.

Los Altos Police Sgt. John Korges identified the two men detained as Leslie Magsalay, 37, of Mounain View and Michael Jordan, 24, of Los Altos.

A third person was arrested for driving under the influence at North San Antonio Road and El Camino Real shortly after midnight Friday.  The identity of the person was not immediately available.

One person was arrested for being drunk in public April 15  at 11:40 a.m. on San Antonio Road.  Los Altos police identified him as Francisco Ramos, 50, of Mountain View. A few hours later at the same location, an incident of petty theft was reported.

Ana Funes, 39, of East Palo Alto was arrested on an oustanding felony warrant related to narcotics after being questioned during a traffic stop at El Camino Real and San Antonio Road Sunday  at 6:43 p.m., Korges said

The case of grand theft was  reported Monday  at 10:40 a.m. on Hillview Ave. No further information was immediately available.

Five minor or non-injury accidents were reported.

A minor injury accident occurred April 15 at 3:16 p.m.  at the intersection of West Edith and University Avenues.  About 90 minutes later, a non-injury accident hit and run occurred at Third and Main Streets.

A non-injury accident was reported Sunday at 6:55 a.m. at the intersection of El Camino Real and El Camino Way.

There was a minor injury accident Monday at 11:57 a.m. at the intersection of Truman Avenue and Fremont Avenue.  About two hours later, a non-injury accident occurred at East Portola Avenue and San Antonio Road.
