Los Altos Police Blotter for April 1-7: Drugs, A Dog and A DUI
The week's blotter shows two arrests, one for drug possession and one for driving under the influence, a dog bite incident and five minor or non-injury accidents.
Two arrests, one for drug possession and one for driving under the influence, a dog bite incident and five minor or non-injury accidents highlight the Los Altos Police Department blotter for the period from April 1-7.
Eric Humble, 38, of Belmont was arrested April 2 at 1:08 a.m. after a traffic stop on Homestead Road, according to Sgt. John Korges. Korges said Humble was booked into the main Santa Clara County jail in San Jose.
A 34-year-old Los Altos man was arrested for driving under the influence early Thursday morning at 12:15 a.m. at the intersection of El Camino Real and San Antonio Road. Korges identified him as Benjamin Gervacio, 34.

Another incident early Thursday afternoon involved a woman who was bitten on her toe by a neighbor's dog on Tyndall Street, Korges said. Police called animal control, who found the dog, a terrier mix, to be up to date on its rabies vaccinations. He said the neighbor was treated for the wound.
A misdemeanor citation was issued to an individual for driving without a license after a traffic stop Thursday at 8:34 a.m. at West El Camino Real and El Monte Ave. Police were also called Thursday to assist in resolving a disturbance that broke out near Los Altos High School, at 3:39 p.m.

Five minor injury or non-injury accidents were reported during the period. The first incident was a non-injury accident Monday at 4:59 p.m. at the intersection of El Camino Real and San Antonio Road.
A non-injury accident hit and run was reported Tuesday at 3:47 p.m. at Plaza North and Fourth Street. A minor injury accident occurred Wednesday at 7:25 a.m.
Two non-injury accidents occurred within a minute of each other Thursday, one on Third Street at 5:26 p.m., and the other at the intersection of San Antonio Road and Hawthorne Avenue at 5:27 p.m.
Police also received a report of an incident of identity theft from a residence on Wessex Avenue Tuesday at 2:19 p.m.
