Crews Control Three-Alarm Fire in Sunnyvale
The blaze at a Sunnyvale apartment complex was reported around 3:40 p.m. Thursday.

Update, 4:45 p.m.--
Fire crews controlled a three-alarm fire at a Sunnyvale apartment building late Thursday afternoon, a Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety captain said.
The fire at a 12-unit apartment building in the 200 block of West California Avenue was reported shortly after 3 p.m., Capt. Dave Pitts said. Around 4 p.m. the fire had been controlled, Pitts said.
Pitts reported that many of the apartment units sustained severe damage in the blaze and residents will not be able to return to their homes. The Sunnyvale Town Center Apartments are listed in that block, which was shut down between North Murphy and North Sunnyvale avenues.

Fire crews were tackling a three-alarm fire at a Sunnyvale apartment building late Thursday afternoon, Oct. 3.
The city's Department of Public Safety released an advisory about the blaze, which is burning in the 200 block of West California Avenue, around 3:40 p.m.
The Sunnyvale Town Center Apartments are listed in that block. A tweet from the city's official Twitter feed said that street is closed between North Murphy and North Sunnyvale avenues.
