Burger Patrons Sought in Los Altos Credit Card Theft

The Los Altos Police posted security camera pictures of two individuals at In-N-Out Burger in Mountain View and Safeway in Sunnyvale.

 

Los Altos Police turned to Silicon Valley Crime Stoppers Monday in investigating a case of a purse stolen from a car.

Credit cards from that purse were used in a Safeway and a burger restaurant, said Det. Abe Velasco.

Photos of two men taken from the restaurant on El Camino Real and Grant Road in Mountain View and a Safeway store in Sunnyvale, were posted, along with a photo of the car the two were driving.

In the burger restaurant, one young man is wearing a black jacket and black baseball hat backwards. He is standing next to another young man in a plaid shirt and watch cap. The four-door, light-colored vehicle at In-N-Out Burger has a sunroof.

"Anytime we think the public can assist us in solving the case, we'll release photos and ask for help," Det. Velasco said.

Velasco said the purse was stolen from an unlocked car that was parked overnight in the driveway of a home in south Los Altos. It was taken sometime between 8 p.m. April 13 and 9:30 a.m. April 14, Velasco said.
