Free Writing Contest for kids

Society of Young Inklings, an organization with the mission of empowering young authors, has opened their doors for submissions of short stories and poems by 1st-8th graders until April 15, 2014. Up to twenty 1st-8th grade winners will receive one on one mentorships with authors to learn firsthand the professional process of revising work prior to publication. Revised stories and poems will be published in the annual Inklings Book Anthology, to be released in June 2014. Details on submission can be found at www.younginklings.org.
