Planning a River Cruise in Europe More Difficult This year. 

Because of the increasing popularity of river cruising, many of the tours are already sold out and travellers are booking for 2015. Recent survey showed that people prefer to book a river cruise, rather than a large cruise ship. The Mediterranean and Alaska are still popular for the more traditional cruise ships.

New Mumbai Airport, servicing Mumbai India (formerly Bombay) went into operation last week.  The new hub expects 40 million passengers each year.

U.S. Travel Alert Issued for the Sochi Olympics. The U.S. State Department issued a travel alert one day after the FBI announced it is sending dozens of agents to Moscow and Sochi to boost the Russian security services.
