Happy kids model their creations at Covington School carnival

Los Altos Art Docents treated district families to two hands-on art projects at the well-attended September 28 celebration.

Los Altos Docents were at the recent Los Altos Educational Foundation's 30th Anniversary celebration!

In addition to games, music and all sorts of yummy food, district families were treated to two hands-on art projects courtesy of the Los Altos Art Docents.

Excited kids with parents in tow released their creativity energy making paper masks and Matisse-inspired note cards at three docent-staffed tables.

The Los Altos Art Docents, who have served the Los Altos School District since 1970, teach K-6 art and art appreciation across all seven district elementary schools and  provide the bulk of the LASD's visual arts education.

While the Los Altos Art Docents is an all-volunteer organization, they rely on LAEF funding to cover administrative costs and materials.
