The granting method was simple. After the members heard speakers from the six non-profit organizations present their needs, members then voted and awarded three grants of $40,000 and three grants of $7,500, giving away the entire amount raised in 2011.

This event marked the 5th annual Membership Dinner, and brought the total dollars awarded by 100 Women to nearly $500,000 in just five years.

What started as a hope to find a hundred women to donate $100 each to benefit women and children in need, has turned into a membership base of 480 women. Each member’s donation goes directly back to a Bay Area nonprofit.
