LASD HAPS ABOUT CAMPUS

Laura Orella reports on Los Altos School District programs and interesting news going on around the elementary and middle school campuses.

 

Last Friday, Loyola sixth grade students held a fundraiser for Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital (LPCH) and the Lyndsey Dworkin Treatment Fund (http://www.giveforward.com/lyndseydworkintreatmentfund).  

The fundraiser was a movie night for Loyola and Springer students and their families.  The movie that was shown was Wreck-it-Ralph.  By selling treats and dinner, the Loyola Sixth grade made over $800.00 to split between the two charities. The charities were selected by the students prior to the movie night.

Lyndsey Dworkin is a sixth grade Springer student and Loyola staff and parents are very proud of the sixth grade classes and their effort to help a fellow student.

LASD EDtalks - Expanding Horizons with Innovative Strategies

Friday, March 22, 2013 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM in the I Studio at the district office on Covington Road, Los Altos.

What is LASD doing this year to creatively engage students in learning?
