LASD HAPS ABOUT CAMPUS

Laura Orella reports on Los Altos School District programs and interesting news going on around the elementary and middle school campuses.

Spring has sprung and that means auctions are in the air! Last week, Covington, Gardner Bullis and Loyola held their big parties at the Cabana, Palo Alto Country Club and Elks clubs respectively, and hundreds of parents turned out for their school's biggest fund-raiser of the year.

Covington Elementary boasted a theme of "Fashion's Night Out," while Gardner parents took on James Bond in 007 garb. Meanwhile, it was "all aboard" for Loyola parents who cruised into the school's "Come Sail Away" party.

The parents helped raise thousands of dollars for their school PTAs to help fund materials and classroom needs for the 2013-2014 school year.
