Look who's signed up for the Drive Less Challenge!

Look who's signed up to participate in the Drive Less Challenge, a two-week contest that starts on Sunday 4/22. Join the fun, save gas and win prizes.

The Drive Less Challenge starts on Sunday, April 22 (Earth Day) and runs through May 5.  This contest is an opportunity to try out different modes of transportation - rather than driving solo in a car.  Lots of Los Altos and Los Altos Hills residents have signed up this year and we are hoping to at least double participation from last year.  Over two dozen local merchants have contributed great prizes.  See the list of sponsors.

Among this year's participants are:

  • Val Carpenter, Mayor of Los Altos
  • Rich Larsen, Mayor of Los Altos Hills
  • Curt Riffle, Board President, Midpeninsula Open Space District
  • Los Altos Bicycle and Pedestrian Commissioners:  Suzanne Ambiel, Wes Brinsfield, Karl Danz, Jim Fenton, Chris Hlavka, Bill Sheppard
  • L.A. Chung, Editor of Los Altos Patch
  • King Lear, Neutra House director and former Los Altos mayor
  • Joe Eyre, Los Altos Environmental Commissioner and organizer of "First Friday" events for Los Altos Forward
  • John Reed, Los Altos Environmental Commissioner

May we add you to this list?  Sign up today, or any time during the 2-week contest, and you will be eligible for our random daily prize drawing!
