Ramiel Petros Named Los Altos High School Student of the Month

The ASB president is just a junior. He told classmates that he dreams about events before they happen.

Los Altos is very proud to present our Student of the Month, the outstanding Mr. Ramiel Petros.

Ramiel is unquestionably the most dedicated student our school has ever experienced. Currently, he is the first junior ASB president our school has seen in over 25 years. His loyalty and devotion to Los Altos is beyond compare.

Last year as a member of the leadership class, he dedicated over 300 hours in service to Los Altos High School. Just to emphasis this kind of time commitment, this is enough time to drive from here to Los Angeles 50 times.

He was the first freshman vice president since we didn’t previously have officers and then subsequently served as the Class of 2015’s president his sophomore year.

Ramiel shared a story once during campaigning about how, the night before a major event, he always dreams of the event. He refers to it as a mental check-list; a way to see what still needs to be done before the event itself.

Obviously, Ramiel dedicates not only time he spends awake to this school but also the time he spends dreaming.

Ms. Dawson states, “Ramiel is the most outstanding student leader I have ever had the pleasure to work with. Bar none!” One example would be the Movie Night that he determined to employ since the numbers attending many of the dances are dwindling. Ramiel organized all the classes and worked with the City of Mountain View to produce an incredible first time event that will be duplicated again in the spring.

Ramiel is committed and devoted to this school more than anyone Los Altos has seen in a very, very long time and we are incredibly proud to honor him as our Student of the Month.
