Join Lunch with the League series

Join the League of Women Voters-Los Altos/Mountain View Area for Lunch with the League speakers series

The League of Women Voters of the Los Altos / Mountain View Area continues its monthly Lunch with the League—a civic education speaker series open to the community focusing on critical issues facing Los Altos, Los Altos Hills and Mountain View.  Next talk is Friday, February 17,  11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Bella Vita Restaurant, 376 First Street in Los Altos.

In February, March and April, the series will focus on Schools...Squeezed featuring local superintendents.

The future depends on how well we educate our children.  The Superintendent as CEO of the school district is responsible for overseeing and guiding the day-to-day operations of the district—in flush times and famine.

Come hear from local school superintendents how the economic downturn has impacted local schools and what "triggers", "initiatives" and Governor Brown's proposed budget means for the future of our schools.

 April 20, 2012: Guest Speaker: Superintendent Barry Groves, Mtn.View-Los Altos Union High School District
