Let the wild rumpus start! Join us just before Story Time at 11AM on the State Street Green to make crowns and get ready for a special reading of everyone's favorite, Maurice Sendak's "Where the Wild Things Are."

Bring your favorite wild things ages 2-6 for this FREE event open to everyone ready to have fun on the Green today.

State Street Green is a temporary pop-up park in downtown Los Altos during July & August of 2013. The idea arose as a way to turn a major city streetscape construction project into a boon rather than a detriment to downtown merchants and shoppers. Organized by the City of Los Altos, the State Street Green will feature a full block of synthetic turf from SynLawn, lounge chairs and foam play blocks courtesy of the HandH Company, patio dining tables with cushioned seats and sunbrellas courtesy of the Sit 'N' Share program, and a range of daily activities programmed by the City.
