Los Altos Youth Welcomes SFMOMA on the GO

Los Altos Youth Welcomes SFMOMA on the GO is an art exhibit featuring works of art by Los Altos elementary, middle and high school students to welcome SFMOMA to our town.  The student art works, 175 in total,  will be displayed in the windows and inside many of the businesses in downtown Los Altos. The opening reception will take place during Los Altos First Friday, November 1 and the works will be on display though the weekend.  Each student who participates will be given a LED Los Altos Star pin, sponsored by Nature Gallery, and a $5 gift card from the newest store in downtown Know Knew Books.  The first Friday celebration is a perfect time for to reinforce the the Project Cornerstone Developmental Asset of "Community Valuing Youth" says Los Altos Rotarian and downtown business owner, Carol Garsten.  "We encourage the community to come out to enjoy the downtown Los Altos First Friday festivities and to congratulate each student (wearing the flashing star pin) for their creative contribution to our community.
