Los Altos Farmers' Market Re-opens on May Day, May 1st!

The Downtown Los Altos Certified
Farmers’ Market returns this year on Thursday, May 1st from 4:00pm to 8:00pm on
State and Second Streets with a fun Maypole Dance for children to celebrate May
Day. The Farmers’ Market is sponsored by the Los Altos Village Association
(LAVA) and the City of Los Altos and hosted by California Farmers’ Market
Association.

Supporting local farmers and
sustainable agriculture has been a goal of this popular market. Doug Hayden,
President of California Farmers’ Markets Association, who manages the popular
downtown Farmers ’ Market, said “we are happy to be back this year with
farmers’ with the freshest spring and summer crops in the area and gourmet food
purveyors with delicious dinner selections to go.”
