Jose Antonio Vargas appears with Dick Henning, founder of the Celebrity Forum Speaker Series in a talk about the future of immigration.
Vargas, a Mountain View High School graduate who won a Pulitzer Prize as part of the reporting team covering the Virginia Tech massacre, publicly announced he was an undocumented immigrant in 2011. He was sent to Mountain View from the Philippines as a 12-year-old to live with his maternal grandparents.
The new administration is expected to tackle immigration reform this year, and the hopes of one youthful group, brought to America as children, is one aspect of a large and complicated issue. Vargas co-founded an organization, Define American.
Vargas will participate in a question and answer session following his presentation.
