DIG PINK VOLLEYBALL MATCH

Los Altos and Palo Alto High School girls' volleyball teams are excited to co-host a DIG PINK MATCH on Thursday, October 10th at Los Altos High School.  JV match is at 5:30pm followed by
Varsity match at 6:45pm.

Please come and cheer on the Los Altos
Eagles and Paly Vikings volleyball teams as they "Dig
Pink" to promote breast cancer awareness and to raise money for
research and compassionate support projects.

These De Anza League rivals are proud to
join over 1,500 college, high school and middle school teams across the country
in support of cancer patients and their families during Breast Cancer Awareness
Month.

Admission if free and fans can show their support by wearing pink to make it a "pink out," and making a donation online https://www.sideout.org/cb/campaigns/campaign/6811 or at the matches.

The Eagles and Vikings support the goals of the Side-Out Foundation through this Dig Pink event. The non-profit Side-Out
Foundation was established in 2004 to raise money and awareness about cancer
through the recreational activity of volleyball.  It contributes the funds to
organizations that serve breast cancer patients, research, medical services or compassionate
support.  The term side-out refers
to a situation in volleyball when one team wins a point while its opponent is
serving, thereby regaining serve or control of play. Side-Out hopes to do the

same for breast cancer patients, providing them with the support, education and

best available treatments to regain control of their lives.
