April 7-11 Spring Break Camp

www.ScienceMattersHQ.com

$75/day/student or $350 for full week.
Appropriate for Grades K – 6.Time:  8:30am-2pm (extended care available)
What you need to bring:  a laptop with Google Docs or Microsoft Office with Word/Excel/Power Point installed and an open mind.  Leave your video games at home and learn to make your own games!

Each day we will work on learning about spreadsheets, power point and/or word documents (Google Docs ok) and inventing interactive games like making your own puzzle, mad-libs (for upper graders) or maze-games. These skills build on learning useful tools like the MS Office Suite or Google Docs while thinking logically. It is an alternative to the traditional coding, but also builds on important skills like “if-then” statements and loops in code.
After lunch we will do some hands-on science experiments involving neuroscience and color. Special Egg-speriment for Easter Week (requires at least 2 consecutive days)!
  • The power of color
  • Egg-speriment: Egg Geodes
  • Make your own kaleidoscope
  • Brain Games
  • Make your own optical illusion
