Above & Beyond Basketball is a global basketball organization whose sole mission is to empower and support youths by giving back through basketball. Mani Messy is the founder of Above & Beyond Basketball and also the varsity boys coach at Pinewood. Mani played Division 1 in the Big East Conference at Seton Hall, and played professionally in Europe until ’09. Currently, Mani is the Varsity Boys coach at CCS Champion Pinewood and a Foothill NJB Allnet coach.
The program has seen exceptional growth from 1 team in '09 to 6 boys teams this last Summer. The reach of the program is very exciting with players, at the high school level, joining from schools including Sacred Heart Cathedral, Menlo, Bellarmine, St Francis, Mitty, Priory, LAH, and of course Pinewood.
Above & Beyond Basketball will be holding 7th & 8th grade level tryouts for the upcoming Fall season on Saturday, September 7th. We are excited about the upcoming 2013-14 AAU season and hope that you will be able to join us for player evaluations and to learn more about the program.
