With Christmas over practically every store downtown is holding a sale to move stock. If there was something you eyed in a shop, and were hoping to find in a stocking, yet did not get, go back and find it!

 

Prepare for New Year's Eve

December 31 all day

 

Now that all of your purchasing, giving, recieving and returning-for-a-giftcard has been completed, New Year's is here. People who have either not been planning or forgot about New Year's can find supplies already stocked at Walgreen's (303 2nd St.).

 

New Year's Day 5K Fun Run, Walk and Roll

January 1 at 9 a.m.

 

The city of Los Altos' department of recreation is holding a 5K run, walk and roll for those who can arrive by race start at 9 a.m.. The race starts at the corner of Main Street and State street and welcomes runners, walkers and rollers of all ages with no registration required. People running with a furry friend must remember to keep their dogs on leash. While the race is billed as a run, walk and roll, bicycles are not allowed. Town services back in action

January 2

 

While the 25 brought Santa to your home, January 2 the mayor will be back in office along with the rest of City Hall and the Recreation Department. All other government services have been operating through the break so thank a policemen or firefighter the next time you see one.

 

Los Altos First Friday

January 3 from 6 p.m. To 8 p.m.

The First Friday is back January 3 in downtown Los Altos with live music, refreshments and deals from local businesses. The previous First Friday included the American Legion train, tree lighting and a visit from Santa so be prepared for more downtown fun. For more information go to losaltosfirstfriday.org.
