Mountain View Woman Killed By Car in Sunnyvale
Witnesses are asked to contact Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.
A Mountain View woman walking near the intersection of El Camino Real and Mathilda Avenue in Sunnyvale was struck and killed by a car Thursday afternoon, according to local authorities.
The woman, identified by the Santa Clara County medical examiner’s office as Erica Stiles, 47, was hit by the car at about 5:10 p.m.

Emergency personnel found Stiles suffering from major head trauma and took her to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, where she succumbed to her injuries, according to the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.
The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
