Monday Morning Commuters Can Expect Traffic Jams on U.S. 101 and Street Closures

President Obama's visit to the Computer History Museum at 8 a.m. is likely to be bad news for commuters.

President Obama’s Monday morning will generate a lot of media coverage, and likely also road closures and traffic jams as it did when he visited the area in April.

Morning commuters to Mountain View should brace themselves for possible closures of the Shoreline off-ramp on Highway 101, which is the closest to the Computer History Museum, for upwards four to five hours. Alternatively, they can try to exit on Rengstorff Ave or San Antonio Road, respectively one or two exits north of Shoreline Road.

If a company is situated close to public transit options such as Caltrain may be the best way of heading to work, traffic-free.

Patch will provide an update on Monday's traffic situation as more information becomes available.
