Los Altos Seen: Girl Scout Troop 61911 Presents the Colors

Each City Council meeting starts with a pledge to the flag. But how does the flag get there? This week, it was via Elizabeth, Nicole, Maddie, Katia, Emily and Tatiana.

Presenting the colors in a flag ceremony is one of the duties that every Girl Scout needs to learn.

Fortunately, Los Altos' City Council meetings provide more than 20 opportunities a year for various troops to get in some practice.

This week, the color guard of Troop 61911, unique, combined Cadette-Senior troop, did the honors. They received certificates of appreciation from the City Council, presented by Mayor Ron Packard.
