Get Out: It's Summer Festival Season!

Welcome to our weekend planner, giving you the best weekend activities for Los Altos and surrounding cities.

It’s Thursday, and if you have no idea what you’ll do for the weekend, Patch is coming to the rescue.

We’ve got the best bets for your done-work-outta-here time. Check out our picks for the best summer movies/community sports/outdoor activities to explore.

1. Fiesta des Artes

Find out what's happening in Los Altoswith free, real-time updates from Patch.

Where/When: Civic Center grounds, Main Street, Los Gatos, Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Why go: Head to the hills this weekend for Fiesta des Artes, Los Gatos' art & wine festival featuring the work of 150 local artists, live music and fun for the kids. Sip gourmet beer and munch on artisan foods (snow cones for the kids) while checking out the art of local jewelers, clothiers, chefs and more. 2. 22nd San Jose Jazz Summer Fest

Where/When: Plaza de César Chávez San Jose, Friday, 5 p.m. to 12 a.m.; Saturday 10 a.m. to 12 a.m.; Sunday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Why go: Experience the art of well-known Latin, Jazz and Blues musicians all weekend in San Jose, where there will be food and micro-brewery vendors aplenty. There will be family fun for the kids and a Club-crawl and other after-hours events for adults. 

Pricing: $15/Friday evening; $20 all day Saturday; $20 all day Sunday $45/Festival 3-day Pass; VIP packages available; children 12 and under: free

Where/When: , 111 Main St, Los Altos, Sunday, 10 a.m.

Why go: Learn how to communicate with your Angels through the use of clairvoyance (seeing), clairaudience (hearing), clairsentience (feeling), and claircognizance (knowing). Andria Wagner of Firefly Willows, a healing center, uses Angel Oracle Cards to assist with readings.

Why go: Shed the week's worries and sing your heart out at The Office Bar's karaoke night, where the best memories are with the worst music.

5. Friday Movie Nights: Mulan

Where/When: Main Street at the 3rd Street intersection, Los Altos, Friday, 8:30 p.m.

Why go: Grab a couple blankets and lawn chairs and bring the family to this week's outdoor showing of Mulan, where this time, the princess saves the prince. Enjoy food and beverages, bounce houses, a face painter, ballon artist and more as twilight hosts the magic of Disney for you and your neighbors.
