Easy Last-Minute Fall Decorations

Too busy meal planning to think about decorating the Thanksgiving table? Here are some quick, festive and colorful centerpieces—some materials can come right from your yard.

A delicious feast deserves a beautiful centerpiece, and if you're stuck for ideas here’s a little inspiration from Pinterest.com. Some of the materials for these can come from your yard and be made in minutes.

Cupertino Patch created a “board” of Thanksgiving decorations using easy-to-find items such as fall-colored leaves, pumpkins, gourds, apples, candles and dried corn stalks.

  • Hollow out a pumpkin, gourd or apple and use it as a vase or a candleholder.
  • Fill glass vase with colorful dried leaves.
  • Tie string around the end of dried leaves and hang in clusters in front of a window.
  • Fill a tall glass jar or vase with whole nuts.
