Blood Drive Planned in Los Altos
Blood supplies are often lower in summer months as some regular donors take vacations or participate in other activities.
The American Red Cross is holding a public blood drive Friday, Aug. 17 at in Los Altos. The event will take place 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Parish’s Spooncer Hall, 1860 Grant Road.
Blood is needed by accident and trauma victims, premature babies, and patients undergoing treatment for cancer and many other life-threatening diseases. One donation may help save the lives of up to three people.
