You Asked for It: Opa! Los Altos!

Los Altos Patch readers have been asking about the new Opa! restaurant on Main Street. Here's the skinny on those Greek fries.

You've heard about the Greek fries at Opa! on Main Street and you want to know more. We hear you.

What: Opa! Restaurant.

Where: 325 Main St., where Zitune used to be. (There are also Opa! restaurants in Willow Glen and Los Gatos and one opening next month in Walnut Creek.)

When: Opened in Los Altos in May 2011.

Who: Opa! founders, Spiro Tsaboukos and Angelo Heropoulos, with co-owner, Molly Adams.

Why: Tsaboukos was raised in a restaurant family; his parents own Lou's Diner in Los Gatos. A frequent visitor to Greece when he was a child, Tsaboukos wanted to offer authentic Greek cuisine in a casual setting and make it family friendly.
