Restaurants Open on Christmas Day

All cooked out by the holidays? Kitchen appliance catastrophe? Not all restaurants are closed Christmas Day.

Here are suggestions for a few restaurants that are open in Los Altos and beyond. 

We start with a time-honored strategy: Chinese food. Here at home, two of our favorite Chinese restaurants will open their doors at 11 a.m. 

Hunan Home's Restaurant at 4880 El Camino Real and New Wing Wah at 132 State Street will serve you a tasty lunch or dinner. In Palo Alto, Tai Pan and Hong Kong Restaurant also are open, among others.

A second time-honored strategy: Hotel restaurants which often have a special menu. We've got some good options nearby, including the The Menlo Grill inside the Stanford Park Hotel in Menlo Park, Madera inside the Rosewood Hotel in Menlo Park, Restaurant Soleil in the Westin Palo Alto, or Quattro in the Four Seasons Silicon Valley at East Palo Alto.
