VIDEO: What's Your Experience With the Construction Work That Just Started Downtown?

It's definitely not business as usual downtown customers and businesses adjust to construction at the first of four intersections.

The City of Los Altos began a intersection beautification project on March 13 and is slated to end June 30. This means sidewalks and street are closed off, and in some cases, customers have to find their way though the businesses' back door. The project is lasting two weeks at Third and State streets, double the original estimate.

And that's on top of the major work upgrading infrastructure on First Street.

We asked members and leadership of the Los Altos Chamber of Commerce how they were experiencing the intersection construction work that has shut off Third and State Streets, and the blocks on either side of State Street.
