Update: Readers' Choice: What Martial Arts School is Good for Kids?

Martial arts is taught successfully to some of the tiniest of practitioners, and Los Altos has many schools. Weigh in on your choice or let us know what school should be in the lineup this week.

Editor's note: In close votes, don't forget to review the martial arts schools. They count in the contest! Click on the links to the schools below and rate the schools in the starred section at the top.

Whether it's karate, tae kwon do, judo, or one of many kinds of kung fu, martial arts are extremely popular with kids.

And why not? There's the cool factor, the progression of skills to learn, the belts to attain ... and what parent doesn't love the discipline and confidence-building?

We've listed four schools here and Los Altos Patch wants to know which one readers choose to send their kids?

We hope our valued readers will help us rate the martial arts schools listed in this article and in the poll to make the selection a little easier for our moms and dads.

We've may have missed one or two in Los Altos, so, please, name your favorite in the comments section below if we missed it. We'll add it, but do it today!

We also hope you'll click on the links provided here to rate the martial arts schools on their Patch Places listings. Leave a review, because our contests also rely on the reviews and comments, not just the polling clicks!

Which one do you choose?

Voting in the poll below is open until 9 a.m. Friday. Please vote only once per survey, per Patch.

Because this poll is not scientific, it is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by Patch editorial staff, based on poll results reviews on Patch Places, and the commenting made below. It's a good reason to go to the listing of all of your favorite places and write a review—now and in the future—and to weigh in below, as well.

Ties will be broken by whichever school has the most positive comments in the section below. We will announce the winner at noon Friday.

So tell us why you chose a particular martial arts school!
